We were honored to participate in the 104th Meeting of the Contact Points of the European Judicial Network (EJN), held in Brussels on March 19, 2026. This gathering brought together representatives from the Ministries of Justice of all EU Member States alongside affiliated experts. The focus of the agenda was Regulation (EU) No. 650/2012 on successions, a vital instrument for judicial cooperation in civil matters. The discussions highlighted recent developments and explored potential revisions aimed at adapting the framework to contemporary European realities.
In this context, Mr. Octavian Rogojanu presented the progress of the ENRWA (European Network of Registers of Wills), highlighting its vital role in facilitating cross-border access to succession information and enhancing legal certainty. While celebrating past achievements, Mr. Rogojanu outlined the strategic path ahead, focusing on two primary pillars:
🔹 Increasing adoption of the platform RERT/ENRW (European last will register network) among notaries, legal professionals, and citizens to streamline digital workflows.
🔹 Expanding the network of interconnected registers for both last wills and European Certificates of Succession (ECS) across the European Union.
Through these initiatives, ARERT continues to strengthen a more coherent, accessible, and efficient European legal space for all citizens.
